How do you connect your digital cable to the receiver?

I am at a loss, I have been trying all day to connect my digital cable to the receiver and can not do it.

Connect the wall cable to the digital decoder. Then connect the digital decoder to the input of vcr. Connect the vcr input cable to the tv output cable.

For best picture quality and sound use a high definition media interface or hdmi cord. There should be a place for this on the receiver and on the box.

You need to connect the cable wire to the back of the cable reciever. Just connect the coaxial cable from where it comes into your house to the cable box.

You probably don't have an HDMI cable, which is one of the most common digital-video related components. You can purchase one at a store for maybe $20, and less if you use online sources.

handle video inputs from any number of devices and be able to route the TV set. capability to decode surround sound and support to at least 5 speakers and subwoofer

Well to connect the digital cable to the receiver, you need a cable connector. Place the cable connector from the receiver to the cable. This should do the trick for sure.
