TV is connected to dish network, vcr and DVD at once by using change over switch. If your tv has video/audio connections then plug the DVD player into the on the TV. Connect the cables to the input and output ports on of the VCR to the TV.

You need to purchase an inexpensive (US $15-$30) device called a video switch box. Cost depends on the number and quality of the connectors.

I would suggest connecting the VCR to the coax cable in the back of your TV, and then the Dish Network receiver and the DVD player to the RCA connections. If you only have one RCA connection on your TV you might need to buy a converter box.

The main cable input will go directly into the dish network box. The output for the network box will go to the input of the VCR. The output of the VCR will go to the TV. Then you can connect the DVD player either into the VCR or directly into the TV using the red white and yellow wires.

Don't worry about it. The technicians will help you install all this hardware when they put up the dish. Call them if you need further help.
