Finger mullets and live shrimp make good bait. Shallow, rocky areas are a great place to fish for flounder. Good idea to take a pro with on your first attempt.

Flounder is pretty easy to catch. Use cut bait like sardines, a large hook and weight and a sturdy pole. They're bottom-feeders. Catch from shore, a pier, or boat.

Flounder are a type of flat fish. You don't need a professional. I have great luck with using an ordinary spoon lure, with a spinner. Bait the hook with ordinary bait eggs or small maggots. Test different methods of reeling in the spinner till you catch your flounder. I usually fish trolling from a moving boat though.

Flounder are not difficult to catch. The exact bait to use will vary with time and place, but shrimp and most live baits tend to work well. Make sure that you have enough line from your cork to get near the bottom of the water, and fish in shallow saltwater areas.
