Make sure they are always hydrated as their pug-like nose dries their shallow nasal cavity easily. Comb, trim their fur regularly as it can grow long and get tangled if not tended to.
Shitzus are a proud, and energetic breed. They require some training and it would be wise to start light training as pups. Regular baths are necessary due to longer coats.
