How do you care for baby hamsters?

Put them in a glass aquarium with a mesh snap on lid. Put animal bedding on the bottom and provide them with food and water. You could also put cardboard lids in for them to chew on and to play in as well as empty toilet paper rolls.

If your baby hamsters were old enough to leave the mother, the best type of care is basic hamster care. Give them a suitable home with bedding, a enclosed sleeping area, and quality food/water. Make sure to handle them safely (never hold while standing since a fall can be fatal).

There is little you need to do for them, a mother hamster will feed and bathe them. All you need to do is make sure the cage is clean.

If the mother is with the babies you don't have to do anything. It's not a good idea to handle the babies for awhile because that sometimes encourages mother abandonment.

The best way I know of to care fore baby hamsters is to let the parents do it they know what they are doing with them we humans do not. If they are over the age of being with the parent then just make sure thay have a good diet.

You will have to feed them by hand and bottle feed them water. Make sure if they are sleeping in a cage that they are warm and wont get to cold because they will die. They have good bedding at any petstore and it will keep them warm. I would also reccomend that if one gets sick keep them apart.

The only thing you need to do is keep there cages clean. Remove all bedding that has been urinated on immediately because baby hamsters are very susceptable to various diseases.

like montree said keep the cage clean give it water from a bottle and wash your hands and take the hamster out and pet it and soothe it be calm with it and when it gets older it will love you!
