About a month or two before spring growth starts you should apply fertilizer spread evenly under the branches and base of tree. Prune in spring into bush or fan shape.
Select type and location. Some species need two trees before the tree can be fertile verses self pollination. Apply fertilizer at the base and prune for up to three years.
