How do you animate pictures?

There are lots of software applications available on the web which can be used in animating your picture. There are even websites that offer it for free. Picture2life, Gickr, Photoscape, to name a few. Though I have not yet tried, my guess is Adobe ImageReady would also do the trick.

By using an image editing program such as Photoshop, you can make gifs that are "animated" images. You set each image at a specific time, loop it to move it.
