How do they make "reproduction" vintage fabric?

If the fabric was designed and made in a specific era, then it's vintage. However, you can scan a fabric swatch from a different time period and get it printed on a new fabric or get it remade. If it is contemporary made, then it's a reproduction not real vintage.

Vintage is vintage because of the age. The reproduction fabrics are only reproducing the patterns and designs that were created years ago. Try used clothing stores for true vintage fabrics.
