They work the same way as regular dishwashers. They require more power because they are not being plugged into an outlet. So in the long run, they use more energy.

This is usually a dishwasher on wheels, that has two pipes to it the first is a water supplies to which you need to connect to a tap and the second is drain pipe of the water which you need to put in to a sink or any other outlet. Works exactly the way a regular dishwasher works.

Most portable dishwashers work by attaching a manufacturer specific hose to a nearby faucet. This connection will allow the dishwasher to fill and drain during the wash cycle. These hoses are removable and allow for the storage of the dish washing unit when it is not in use. Otherwise these units function like built in dishwashers.

Hook up your portable dishwasher to the kitchen sink using the hoses received with the dishwasher. One hose connects to the faucet and the other hose connects to the back of the dishwasher. Turn the kitchen faucet on full and then turn on the dishwasher. Disconnect when done.

A portable dishwasher can be moved around, and it has a water hose that must be attached to a water faucet over a sink. Use water drains through the sink.

A portable dishwasher is mechanically similar to a permanently installed one. Portable dishwashers are mounted on castering wheels. When used, the user loads it normally with dishes, soap and drying agent, plugs a power cord into a standard wall outlet, hooks one hose to the kitchen faucet for water, and another hose to the kitchen sink for drainage.

It works just like a built-in. It's on wheels and sits in an out-of-the-way corner. When ready for use, it's rolled to the sink, plugged in and an attachment is put over the faucet and locked down. When finished, the attachment is released from the faucet, unplugged and rolled back into its spot.

Portable dishwashers are not built and they roll to the sink. A hose is used to hook up to the dishwasher.

A portable dishwash is one that's not built into your cabinet. You must roll and hook the dishwasher up to your facets in the kitchen sink each time you do a load. You also have to have a place to store it when not in use.
