Agents are interested. A query letter should be no longer than one concise page. and contain 1)Hook: the attention grabber, 2)Mini-Synopsis a condensed, detailed version of your story and 3)Bio brief, detailed description of yourself. Do not contact agent without a full manuscript for presentation. Thank him/her for their time.

A single cover letter introducing the content of your book. this person will read it and give you feed back on your literacy. It should be helpful the letter has three concise paragraphs: the hook, the mini-synopsis, and your writer's biography.

Stick to the facts pertaining to your manuscript. How long is it? What genre does it fall under? Be professional! List credentials pertaining to your writing. Stay away from personal information such as interests, hobbies or how many children you have unless these directly impact your submission.

Te most important rule is to keep it simple. Do not send any sample of your work until it is requested. Keep the letter under one page. Tell about your abilities and your project. Be sure to include easy and correct contact information and, most simply, a business card with your name on it.

In order to write a query letter to a literary agent you'll just want to give out your general information and tell them what type of writer you are. You'll also want to send them a copy of your work just to let them know about your style.
