The best way to troubleshoot a Windows Installer Service error is to Google the error code that the installer is giving you. This should allow you to find resources from Microsoft or other users who have experienced a similar error and know a way to effectively get around that error.

To resolve windows Installer Service error you need to re-register the Msiexec. exe. If this doesn't work the only option to resolve the error is to reinstall the WIndows Installer.

The easiest way to do this is to check the application event log in windows. Many times when the installer fails, other, more detailee errors will also occur. Unfortunately, many times it is up to the application developer to include logging information, and some dont, so call the vendor.
