How do I stop my puggle from pooping in its own cage?

Dogs won't usually poop in their crates. First off, make sure the crate isn't too big. It should be just big enough for the dog to stand up comfortably and turn around. Any bigger than this and the dog has room to poop or pee in it. Also make sure you take the dog out to go potty outside enough.

A brief verbal chastisement when the dog defecates in its cage will go a long way. Be sure to provide encouragement when the dog keeps its cage clean.
