How do I reprogram a Wayne Dalton garage door opener?

My garage door opener stopped opening one of my two garage doors. How can I reprogram it so that it works for both again?

Look in the manual and see if it has the certain code for your specific model, if not then it will give you a certain sequence to put for universal.

I can't be very specific without knowing the exact model garage door opener you're asking about but, if you have internet access, the information you want should be on their website, at wayne-dalton. com or there are some Wayne Dalton products listed at yourgaragedooropener. com. If you don't have internet access, try your local library.

Your garage door and opener should have come with a manual. If you don't still have that manual, you can enter the model number on the Internet to find an electronic copy of the manual. If you can't find the manual, most electronic stores carry "generic" garage door openers that can be programmed to open your garage door.

Check to see if you garage door opener has batteries. Most are powered off batteries. So it could be dead or dying batteries that is causing your problem. If it's still not working look for your brand of garage door online and you should be able to find instructions to reset that particular one.
