How do I replace the air flow meter on my BMW 735IL?

The air flow meter on most cars would be located on the intake tube just after the air filter. It may require a special star screw driver to remove the screws. Then you just unclip the electrical connection, pull the old mass air flow meter out and reverse the order for installation.

To replace the the air flow meter on a BMW 735IL the first thing you do is locate the air flow meter. Once you locate the air flow meter then you remove the air cleaner assembly. After that disconnect the electrical conductor Lastly you need to make sure you keep track of the nuts a bolt

Once you locate the air flow meter you will need to remove the air cleaner assembly from the meter. Then disconnect the electrical conductor from the air flow meter. Remove the nuts hold meter in place and remove. Replace with the new meter following these directions backwards.

It should be pretty simple. Just disassemble the intake tract. Unhook the connector then unbolt the meter itself. The reverse the process with the new one.

locate the airflow meter inside and slowly remave the air filter assembled.....disconnect the electrical circuit conducter from the meter. hold the meter and remove the nuts. replace your new meter in the same way with the air filter..and electric conducter.

This is difficult to do. You'll have to find the air intake port on the engine and the sensor will be there deep in the bowels of the engine. Once you get at it you can replace it easily.

On the tube from your air filter to your motor there is a wire plug with a circle or square metal or plastic piece undo the clamps and wire plug
