Certain things, such as installed applications, cannot be recovered if the equipment is damaged. Information such as phone numbers can be recovered by taking the battery and back off the phone, removing the SIM chip, and letting it dry out. Install SIM card in new phone to transfer your information.

Unfortunately, cellular telephones and water simply do not mix. If your Blackberry Pearl is an unfortunate victim of recent water damage, chances are the information stored on the device is not recoverable. You can try submerging the phone in a container of dry rice, but chances are your device is destroyed.

Remove the sim card and the memory card. Then just copy the data off of them. Anything saved on the phone will take a professional to recover.

I don't think it's too hard to get your data back if this mobile telephone has a memory card, which I'm guessing it has.Usually it's fine even if the phone itself is damaged. However,if there is a real problem with this and you need the data, the Geek Squad at Best Buy has experts who do this all the time.

Try removing the sim card along with the microsd card snd cleaning them. When clean and dry you should test them in another phone. The water shouldn't have damaged them that much. The only problem would be any data stored on the phones internal memory. To get this you may have to contact a data recovery specialist.
