Regular baking soda does well as a carpet freshner, simply sprinkle on carpet, leave for at least 15 minutes or as long as possible, then vacume as usual. You can also make a vinegar water solution, 2 parts vinegar to one part water(you may add a couple drops of essential oil like lavender or orange, in a spray bottle.

Carpet odour can be removed with diffrent methods. One of which is, sprinkling of backing soda on the carpet and leaving it overnite. Once that is done, just dust away the excess powder and make it dry in the sun for some time. The odour should be gone after this process.

You can use baking soda to remove some odors. For really tough odors, OdoBan removes odors without using harsh chemicals, just make sure to dilute properly from concentrated formula. Shampoo carpet first and then treat with odor remover.

Carpets should be regularly cleaned using a vaccum cleaner and the carpet should be kept in the sunlight once in a week. If your carpet has started smelling give it once for dry cleaning. If you want to clean it naturally it is very difficult to do alone. Just keep it in the sunlight and spray little perfume onit.

If you are wanting to naturally clean it then you will need to purchase a natural cleaner for your carpets. You will need to put it on and then let it sit.
