Think box shape with side panels. Measure the length of your sewing machine from the bottom, over the top and down the other side plus the width, making allowance for seams and hems. Measure front of machine, cutting two - one for back. Sew together. Make space for machine handle.

Pick out a cute, thick fabric that you like for your sewing machine cover. Double it over, with backsides touching, or use a different fabric for the inside. Sew it like the bottom of a tote bag, make the base rectangular, and bigger than the perimeter of your machine. It just needs to be long enough to cover the machine.

First I would measure the machine from top to bottom, including the thread holder and they measure from side to side. Cut the material bigger then the measurements and pin and place over the machine. Then you can make adjustments. Do not sew until you have made the adjustments. This will allow you to make the corners round if necessary.
