How do I go about skunk odor removal?

There are skunks behind our house and our dog gets sprayed and so do we some times.

I have always used with much success, a common grocery item, tomato juice. Any brand, generic or name can be used. The acidic content and natural properties will not harm your pet. Be sure not to get it in their eyes! The acid will neutralize the skunk odor. Rub it in, let stand then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.

Nothing works as well for the smell of skunk spray as tomato juice. It works the best. You can soak your clothes but it will stain so you will need to throw them out.

Tomato juice sounds odd, but really is the best way to remove the odor. I would also call animal control to prevent future sprays. Just put the juice in a tub and take a bath.

You will have to bathe the dogs in tomato juice it does work well. You will have to bath in it also every time you get sprayed by a skunk.
