If you haven't already, introduce a bottle to your child with your breastmilk. Also start pumping extra whenever you can to build up a supply for when you are working.

Put your baby on the bottle. Use the gerber bottles with the nipples that are similar to a real breast, pump your breast milk into the bottle and while breast feeding, slip the bottle into his/her mouth. If it does not work, rub the nipple of the bottle across your nipple to fool him/her.

You start by slowly dropping a feeding. Always drop the one before bedtime last. Replace these feedings with formula or a bottle of breast milk. Soon your child will be weaned.

Be consistent...if you are planning to feed in the morning and a night wean to those feedings-do them every day. Pump every day when you plan to pump at work.

Before breastfeeding, offer him food first. You could pump some milk and leave it for him when you go to work. In a month or two he will be able to drink whole milk when you're away.
