I would begin by purchasing a book with information about teddy bear collecting and other valuable information. Then begin purchasing working toward your goal (just for fun; for profit, etc.)
You must decide which teddy bears you would like to collect as their are thousands of types. Steiff is the premiere teddy bear going back to the turn of the last century. You can find these online or at flea markets.
