How do I deal with a stingy friend?

First, ask yourself why your friend is stingy. Does he or she not make a lot of money? Also, is his or her stinginess affecting you? i. e. does he or she make you pay for his or her share? you should pay things seperately for one.

Your friend will like you more if he/she is able to help you in other ways. Try to encourage your friend to get involved or just do productive or fun things.

I suggest you to not keep that much dealings , because it will leads to many misunderstandings and spoil the friendship ,try to be far away from him in some issues..

Usually, people try to avoid keeping friendship with stingy people but you seems to be a nice gentleman. Try to lead him towards your path although it is not easy.

You have to prove him what you want. I know a stingy friend is not helpful for anybody but when you prove honest yourself to him then he will beleve.
