DO NOT mix gas and oil in FOUR-cycle engines! Mixing gas and oil is for TWO-cycle engines only! You can cause serious damage to your fueling system by doing this. For two-cycle engines, most stores sell 2.6 oz bottles of oil specifically matched to be added to one gallon of gas. Follow around 2.5 oz/gallon and you'll be fine.

There are directions on the oil additive. For the small bottles, it is one bottle per one gallon of fuel. If it doesn't have a single serving bottle the instructions on the back will point you in the right direction.

Four cycle engines don't use the fuel for lubrication and therefore oil is not added to the gas.

Purchase a plastic 1 gallon red gas container just for oil-gas mix. Fill with 1 gallon gas. Measure an add oil according to specifications and shake well.

If you are wanting to achieve the mixture of oil then you will have to measures out which should go where.
