How did the American revolution influence the French?

The American Revolution financially broke the French monarchy, which created one of the stresses that eventually led to the French bringing on their own revolution. It also dealt their bitter enemy, the English, a heavy loss, which allowed the French to narrow the gap in the race of global imperialism.

After the American revolution, Americans gained their independence, and this let off a message to the world that revolt can cause good things to occur, and the French tried this tactic in the French Revolution.

I believe the american revolution influenced france a lot because it showed great britian could be defeated. They were not as strong as most believed and france could stand up.
