How can you get your toddler to go from a bottle to a sippy cup?

My toddler is won't drink from a sippy cup but I think it's time to get away from the bottles?

Have only water or milk in the bottle. Then put a flavorful juice in the sippy cup. And if they want "good stuff", they have to use the sippy cup.

When we did it we had the same problem. Two things finally worked for us. The first was to let her choose as a special occasion the type of drink she wanted. If it was something she normally get in the sippy she might go for it. Also putting something on the top of the sippy worked wonders.

Don't make it seem like a bad thing when you give them the sippy cup. Kids feed off of others' reactions. Just take the bottle away. Make them feel happy and excited about the sippy cup by the way you give it to them and talk about it. Tell them they are becoming a big boy/girl.

Find sippy cups that are very similar to bottles and fill with the toddlers favorite drink. Also, allow them to choose their sippy cup if possible
