How can I replace a Sebring EGR sensor?

You should really have a serious diagnosis done to make sure the EGR sensor is your problem. Most likely it can be carbon build up in the sensor tubing. Otherwise, it should be a straightforward bolt-on job, you can use the new part for reference.

Usually located next to the air intake manifold, locate the sensor and remove the fastening screws. Unsure you have the right type of replacement sensor and attach using the above screws.

The EGR valve is located on the exhaust manifold. It can be disconnected by removing the wire at the top and using a socket to unscrew the valve.

You have to make sure you got the right replacement part. The senor is usually located next to the air intake manifold. The sensor is very simple and easy to remove. To remove the part requires for you have a socket to unscrew the valve and disconnect the wire. You can install the new one now.

The sensor is located next to the air intake manifold.Remove the screws. The wire at the top of the sensor. Remove the sensor and place the new one and fasten.

Disconnect negative cable from auxiliary jumper terminal. Unplug the connectors from the MAP sensor and the intake air temp sensor. Remove the plenum support bracket bolt located rearward of the MAP sensor.

The EGR sensor is locatted on the egsaust manifold to remove this it unscrews .Take and clean up where you took the old one off .So the new one is going to work properly.Once you have the new one in place hook up all the connections so everything works according to OEM spects
