How can I repair my refrigerator?

It depends on what's wrong with it. If it's not chilling, the fix may be simple. Try removed the filter grate and vacuuming around the coils. Once all the dust comes out, it will cool much better.

Many parts companies have websites. Order the replacement part and follow the directions carefully. Replacing the gasket in the front can often save a lot of energy and may extend the life of your appliance because with a good seal the compressor won't have to work as hard. Brushing out the coils and some other repairs are good for beginners.

To repair your refrigerator you can look up a refrigerator repairman either through the yellow pages of the phone book or through the internet. Because of the high amount of electricity in refrigerators, one should not attempt to repair a refrigerator themselves. If you can't afford to hire an expert, find a friend with some knowledge on the subject.

Doing this can result in having the appliance not work anymore and not knowing what you are doing could not benefit the product. So I would call someone that knows what they are doing.
