How can I make my own bathing suit sarong?

I think I can make one cheaper than a bought one.

Yes you can make it cheaper. Take your measurements around your bottom, add 3 inches for seams, and a little more if you want it loose. You can always take it in. Get a shear fabric that dries fast and won't fade. You wan tie it or velcro it closed.

Take a recangular piece of fabric about 3.5 feet in length, and cut off the lower right hand corner about 10 inches across. Pick a fabric that matches your bathing suit. Hem the ends so that it does not fray.

All you have to do is go to your local craft or fabric store, and find a pattern that you like. Cut, buy, and wrap fabric around your body.

Buy a piece of fabric and finish the sides so it doe not ravel. Wrap around waist or entire body and tie.
