Boil and mash any variety of pumpkin. Add any form of animal fat and bake until dry. For animal fat I recommend bacon.

Pumpkin is high fiber so adding it to a dog biscuit recipe you like would work. You can reduce some of the flour suggested and add pumpkin instead before adding the fluid to make dough. You short the fluid based on how the dough looks once the pumpkin is added.

Combine 2 cups biscuit mix, 2/3 cup beef bouillon-flavored broth, 1/2 cup pumpkin meat, 2 tablespoons saved bacon grease, and 1 chopped apple. (Optional: Refrigerate for 10 minutes to solidify- will be easier to handle.) Form dough into quarter-sized "cookies". Bake for 8-12 minutes at 400 degrees, until golden brown. Apples and pumpkin have a substantial amount of fiber.

Combine 8-ounces of pumpkin, 1/4 cup instant cream of wheat cereal and uncooked 1/4 cup dry (powdered) milk. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a greased baking sheet. Flatten each ball with a fork. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for at least 15 minutes.

Pumpkin is the best food for dog biscuit. It is edible and fleshy food. The sap of the pumpkin is extracted from its fleshy juice. The edible part is the making of biscuits

Since I don't think pumpkin would be bad for the dog, I would make dog biscuits and add pumpkin to the recipe. You might have to use more flour, adding pumpkin will make it moist and change the texture of the biscuit.

You will want to use canned pumpkin in the dough, but make sure it is plain pumpkin with no added sugar or spices.
