There are all sorts of fun ways to make a homemade tote bag. You can crochet one with strong cotton or twine. Many folks knit or crochet woolen bags and felt them. One lady even recycled plastic bags by making strips out of them and crocheting the strips of plastic!

you should just buy a used one off craigslist. it'd be a hell of a lot better than a duffle bag full of sand breaking open and spilling all over your house. I wanted to make one at first too, but now i'm just going to do that.. good luck.

First you need to screw an overhead hook into the doorframe of whatever room you plan to use. Then you need an old couch cushion and about six feet of rope. Tie the rope in the middle of the cushion, then make a loop with the other end of the rope and place the loop over the hook.

It probably is POSSIBLE. But for this kind of exercise, you want to make sure that there is the proper padding and equipment used to make it in order to prevent injury. Make an investment in a bag, Im sure you would be much more happy getting the actual thing!

You need to find something leather and insert probably some rice or beans or whatever you prefer. Then you can sew it up or tie it up.

You have a few options for making a homemade heavy bag. The first one would be to get an unfilled bag adn fill it yourself although that seems pointless. The second would be to fill a duffel bag and cut the straps off then hang it!

You could fill a large duffle bag with rags and old clothes. Or you could put trash bags full of sand in it. The problem is that over time the weight will fall to the bottom and it will be uneven. You might get some use out of it, though.
