How can I learn ventriloquism?

Youtube is a GREAT place to start for anything you want to learn besides the fact that it's free. This also seems like an area that would require a lot of practice and learning new accents. I'm also sure Amazon or Ebay has some DVDs that would be excellent for teaching.

The best way to learn any form of art is by having an instructor that specializes in that particular field. In the case of ventriloquism, it would be wise to pursue the instruction of the best ventriloquist you have heard of and ask his advice and make yourself ready if he is willing to offer instructions.

Well it's not that easy I mean you have to get your courses done. You can search up more information on google and then you can find out from that.

Most important is to practice every day, or any free time. First you must pick or find your character voice and than practicing reading a book without moving your lips.

Just like most other things, practice, practice, practice. Just learn the techniques and know them well. The only way to get better is to practice.

A first exercise you might like starts by relaxing your jaws. Now open your lips slightly and try to pronounce the vowels: A, E, I, O, U.

To learn ventriloquism you can check out some books on the subject at the library. I am sure there are good books on the subject to start with.

You could take a class at your local community college or research it online. You might want to try looking up the nearest clown college, they almost certainly have ventriloquism classes.

Practice, consult someone who is educated in it, like Jeff Dunham, and they could help you out. But practice does make perfect.
