First, you need to measure the area at question and make sure your measurements are accurate. Then you must get some cement board and cut it to fit the measured area. Then you can spread the cement over the mortar and place the cement board. Apply pre mixed grout to tiles and place on cement board.

You basically need to get some sealer and then glue the back splash on to the wall. Sealer is recommended and make sure that you also wipe the marble clean before applying sealer.

You can use thin set to properly install the marble back splash. Also, another tip is to use grout or trowel to seal on the tiles individually. Your best bet is to seal with a sealant and sponge.

The best thing to do is to choose a grout that will hold the marble. You are going to need a tile cutter and make sure you keep the marble wet or it will crack and chunks will be missing.

Remove any existing backsplash by using a prybar. Sand the drywall smooth and fix an irregularities in the drywall by patching and pasting. Lay your new backsplash face down aligned with the area you want to install it. Using a beveled mortar trowel, place a layer of mud on the back of the marble and lift the backspash into place.

To install a polished marble backsplash you need to make sure that the area you are going to place the tiles on is clear or old paint and wallpaper. Make sure the surface is even and that the tiles are in an even pattern. Take a strong wall adhesive and proceed to place tiles in designated area.

The best thing to do is to make sure you have a waterproof sealant because the moisture will bring the backsplash down. The backsplash has a main function of keeping the moisture out of the wall and if you dont use a waterproof sealant, it will be pointless of even trying to install it.
