Start by searching the internet using your town and mineral rights appraisers. Make sure the appraiser is a licensed professional who can give you an official appraisal.

There is a directory of mineral appraisers which also includes oil and gas rights called the Directory of Certified Minerals Appraisers. This directory lists contact information for members of the American Institute of Mineral Appraisers. The members are Certified Mineral Appraisers and must meet the standards set in the by-laws and code of ethic of the institute.

You should be able to go online and find appraisers through the yellow pages website. Some trade and stock organizations have listings of appraisers, but before any thing, talk to your broker, and have him figure out what's the best appraiser for you. The last thing you want to do is get ripped off.

The internet can be a powerful tool. I would start by searching for your appraisers on the internet. If that doesn't work then try fishing around with local oil companies.
