To get rid of mold on your brick patio use lots of bleach. You will have to rinse off the brick patio with water first to get dirt and dust off. Then put down some bleach and scrub away. Also a pressure washer will remove it, but if pressure is too high it can damage your patio.

Use bleach or bleach mixed with water. Spray or pour it over the moldy areas. Do this two or three times over a one week period. This will kill the bleach as well as disinfect the area of all other bacteria. Do be careful of runoff, since it will kill any plants it touches.

One effective way of removing mold from bricks is to mix one part bleach to three parts water. Add to that 1/4 cup of laundry detergent to help remove the stains. However, mold grows in a moist environment and unless you can change that, this will only be a temporary solution.

Over the winter months mold develops on the bricks of my patio. To keep the mold from spreading, I take 2 gallons of water with 1 pint of bleach, a long handled scrub brush and go to work. It's important that you do not get the solution on any shrubs or plants. Wash off solution with the outdoor hose.
