The weeks of a pregnancy are counted starting with the first day of your last menstrual period. Although you were obviously not pregnant at that point, that is considered the beginning of your pregnancy. Your doctor can help you with this - please make sure to get regular pre-natal care!

When I was pregnant I figured out how far along I was by when I thought my last period was and from the date I last had sex.

This is not Medical Advice : You should estimate your pregnancy from your last menstral cycle. If all anything I would seek medical advice from a OBGYN. They would also beable to an ultra-sound that would tell you how far along you are. Good Luck!

You date a pregnancy from the first day of your last period, so if your last period first date was six weeks ago then you are six weeks pregnant.

There are a few ways you can determine how far along you are in your pregnancy. There are several website that you can go on and enter the first day of your last period and it will tell you how far along you are. The most accurate way would be to visit your OB/GYN for a sonogram.
