Obey local cycling laws, and don't ride in a way that could endanger you or others. Always ride with traffic, don't go on sidewalks, and wear a helmet.

Go to court and explain clearly and simply what happened and why you do not deserve the ticket. Bring diagrams.

Well you should avoid going to fast on your bike, at least when you are in areas where it is quite probable that you will encounter police. Another advice that I can give you is to comply with the trafic regulations, always wear your helmet and try to be as much carefull as you can..

Plea guilty and pay the fine. The police officer's opinion of reckless is probably going to stand. If he thinks that you were not following the rules of the rod, then you probably were not. It is hard to win in traffic court. Pay the fine unless you have proof, like a video or a witness.

Consider paying it & behave around/stay away from cops. If it was accepted as unfair by other cyclists, try seeking donations or start a fund for others who are targeted. Copy the ticket onto stickers or tee-shirts and sell them. Embrace that you are a reckless cyclist!

The best defense against a reckless cycling ticket is not to engage in behaviors that might be considered reckless. Obey all traffic signs. This means stopping at stop signs and observing all traffic markings while traveling by bicycle. Stop for pedestrians in cross walks. Always watch where you are going. Stay alert to other vehicles and pedestrians on the road.
