Install a culligan style filtration system in between your well pump and your in-house feed lines. The culligan system acts like a very large version of a brita filter and filters the sediment and mineral build-up out of the water before it reaches your faucet and turns the water brown. These systems run for years with little or no maintenance.

Sediment will settle if you don't use a lot of water at a time...Like watering a lawn or filling a pool. but you can also buy a whole house filter at a home improvement warehouse. they have cyclindrical filter that need to be changed every 6 months or so. that filters a lot of the bad stuff out.

Well the main way to stop sediment is by using some sort of screening material. This will keep the particle from coming through into the water.
