Locate the output jacks on your TV. They should be labeled, "Audio Out." Obtain a stereo speaker cable (typically with red and white RCA-jacks) at Radio Shack if you do not have one. Then, use the cable to hook up your speakers (red cable goes to right speaker).

Most TVs have a pair of RCA connectors on the back labeled 'Audio OUT.' Use an RCA cable to connect those jacks to the inputs on a stereo amplifier or a receiver, and then connect speakers to the amp as directed. If the TV doesn't have Audio OUT jacks then there's nothing you can do.

It depends on the type of speakers. Usually you will connect it through rca (red and white) cables. Match them up accordingly. Ex. Red cable to red cable, white cable to white cable.

Most television sets have an auxillary audio output. They are usually marked with a small picture of a set of head phones and places on the front of the television. If that is not the case, you can buy SCART cables from Radioshack that have a separate audio output line.

Run it through your stereo unit. Take a couple of digital cables and plug them into your television's audio output and then plug the other ends into the stereo input. Make sure the speakers match up. Left to left, right to right. And there you go. Great sound done cheaply.
