You must firest referee at the highschool and division three collegiate level. This usually takes years and requires hard work and dedication. It is recommended that you attend seminars and classes on the rules and regulations of the game of football with regards to the collegiate level. You must also network.

Find a football officials association they train you on specifics. You will begin to work varsity games after 2-3 years. After 4-5 years of varsity, you will begin to work junior college games then in 2-3 years you can move up to the division levels in college.
