The size depends on the shape. If it's round it is 5.2mm. If it's pear shaped it is 6 x 4mm. If it's marquee shaped it is 8 x 4mm. Oval is 6 x 4mm.

A diamond's mass is measured in carats. A 0. 50 carat diamond would have a mass of 100 milligrams. A round diamond that is 0. 50 carats is about 5. 2 millimeters across.

A. 50 carat diamond is roughly the size of a small pea. In addition to the carat number, knowing the cut, clarity and color are crucial - all four are known as the 4 Cs of importance in purchasing a diamond.

A. 50 carat diamond really isn't all that big. It's actually considered a chip more than anything. Usually approximately one to two millimeters in size depending on the actual weight of the stone.
