Yes, I have used the A Beka approach to home schooling. It is a very innovative approach to teaching children in a Christian setting. There have been many wonderful reviews about this method. This approach also makes it easier for parents to home school their children with a more detailed structure.

No, but I am familiar with PACE, ECOT, and K-12. All of them are excellent programs for home-schooling your child and I would recommend any and all of them. I hope you have fun while home-schooling, because it's truly a unique and bonding experience for the entire family, and you'll really enjoy it!

Their textbooks are sometimes good, but I've developed my own teaching methods. I use whatever books I find that I like when I'm in the store, then I adapt them. We don't ever just go through a book from cover to cover like they do in schools. I can do better than that, and so can you.

I personally have not used any of the A Beka homeschooling materials. I looked into using them and decided against it mainly because they are religious based.

Yes. The A Beka method may be a little difficult for those that learn better at a slow pace. A Beka tends to teach concepts quickly and contains a lot of memorization that has to be completed in a little amount of time. Those that have problems learning may have difficulty.
