Yes, Garmin's are a good choice for your personal travel assistant. Tom-tom also makes excellent ones as well. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Yes, and they are fantastic! Aside from helping you find your way to wherever you want to go, they also warn you about weather conditions, road closures, traffic, and can help you find specific places or businesses. Also, Garmin is one of the top-notch brands. I recommend it!
