The Society of American Silversmiths recommend Goddard's silver polish so it must be a great product. Not only does Goddard's silver polish clean residue on silver, they provide tarnish protection. Goddard's silver polish is available in a liquid and a foam and can be found in your local hardware or department store.

No, but my Grandmother used it to polish the tarnish off of her antique silver. She would get a wad and rub down her silverware piece by piece. It always came out incredibly shiny, but she would have to polish them again about every 3 months because her silver would oxidize quickly.

No I haven't tried this before! Silver can tarnish easily, so it is good to know which cleaners work. I hope it works for you.

Yes, I have tried it. I found it a lot of work. The rubbing was very time consuming as I tried to do my Grandmother's silverware. I was not overly happy with the product. When I was done the silverware still had tarnished spots on them. I would not buy again.
