The Roomba works for GENERAL cleaning. It keeps things looking neat and nice and makes it so you don't have to do the work as ofter. I would still suggest going over your floors with a vaccuum or broom once a month to get the deep cleaning that the Roomba may miss.

Some people rave about this machine, others do not think it is worth the hefty price you pay for it. Seems to work better in smaller rooms.

Yes the roomba really works. it has a sensor to let it know when it is getting close to an object and it will turn once it is really close to the object.
