No, Verizon Wireless is a much larger company than MetroPCS, however the two are not related. Both Verizon and MetroPCS use Code division multiple access. MetroPCS is owned by MetroPCS Communications, Inc.

MetroPCS only uses their network in their home service areas! When in their Home Extended Areas you're actually on Verizon's network! Try making a call in those areas and you'll quickly see what I mean.  add a comment

its all one network up in the sky it doesn't matter cause theyres an infinite amount of radiowaves in the atmos. this would mean you could grab your own internet. but to do so you need a isp to grant you permission to use theyre "antenna" and not our own

Metro PCS does not use Verizon's network. Metro PCS's network is the 5th largest in the United States and currently has about 6 million customers, compared to Verizon's 87 million.

Does Metro PCS use the same AP as Verizon? I recall setting up a few Verizon APs that allow Metro customers to access. :) As for networks, physical and virtual is all about programming. :)  add a comment
