MediCal does not in fact pay for the LapBand weight loss supplemental device, considering it is not FDA approved and absent from any government list of approved MediCal Devices.
It's determined on a person to person basis. It probably won't cover it if you haven't tried other methods to lose weight, as the lap band is pretty drastic.
