It is mostly a myth. However, proper eating habits as hair is a mainly made up of protein will help. Not damaging your hair with chemicals, colors and heat, if possible. Keeping it as natural as possible and applying as little heat as possible as infrequently as possible will help it grow as much as it is genetically able to.

Protein is what makes hair grow quickly and there is protein in gelatin. However you might find more protein in fish and chicken, nuts, or a multivitamin. eating healthy is the best way to keep your, as well as your nails and skin in great condition, not to mention the rest of your body.

Yes, it does to a certain extent. It will also strengthen the hair shaft as you will be getting nutrients that are needed. Also trimming your hair on a regular basis, every four to six weeks helps with growth. Gelatin will also help if you want your nails to be stronger and grow better.

I don't think that this is true. The rate at which your hair grows can vary from person to person, it all depends on your genes. Eating a balanced diet will keep your hair healthy though.

Gelatin has been used in hair-oriented aids and supplements in order to facilitate strength and growth. Gelatin is a natural and harmless substance obtained from collagen, which is found in the bones and cartilage of most animals. Generally speaking, most gelatin that we are able to purchase has been obtained from cows.
