Does Chapter 7 erase evictions from the credit history?

No, Chapter 7 Bankruptcy does not erase evictions from your credit history. Once something is on your credit record, it stays for a specific period period of time. The Chapter 7 will be added to your history, but it will not change what is there.

Evictions would not show up on the credit report unless the place you were being evicted from reported the money you still owe them to a collection company. If you do have it on the report then once you file bankruptcy it won't fall off immediately, after some time it will fall off the report.
