Copper pipe fittings are soldered not taped and screwed together. For copper plumbing you will need a propane torch, lead free solder, flux, and steel wool. You will also need a small pipe cutter to cut the pipe to the needed length.

If you are connecting the copper with solder or compression fittings then you do not need pipe tape. However, where ever you have a male and female mating fitting you will need to use pipe tape or pipe thread compound.
