Yes a prescription is needed. You may buy them online without one, but I wouldn't recommend it. It is illegal and dangerous, because it may not actually be Nitroquick.

Yes. Nitroquick should only be used under a physician's care. If your father is needing nitroquick, he needs to see his doctor to be evaluated. The doctor would need to rule out other conditions. If it's something else causing the chest pain and your father takes the nitroquick, it could be really dangerous.

Yes, nitroquick is a prescription medication. It comes in various forms, such as translingual, sustained release capsules, injections, ointments, tablets, and transdermal. There are several dosages for different conditions. A doctor writes a prescription because s/he determines the route and dose based on the patient's conditions.

Nitroquick is generic for Nitroglycerine which you do need a perscription for. There are too many dangerous and life threatening side effects if taken improperly as well as very severe side effects.

No prescription is required for Nitroglycerin. Nitroglycerin relaxes blood vessels allowing more blood to flow through. This reduces the workload on the heart and improves blood flow to the heart. But if taken over dose it may cause side effects like weakness, sweating, changes in heart rate etc.

Nitroquick is a form of nitroglicerine so it does require a doctor's prescription. If your dad wants you to obtain nitroquick he will need to get a prescription first.
