ya definitely. Pool system has a check valve. When the pump shuts off, flow backwards through your system and backwash all the dirt into the lower pool. You may find the check valve right before the pump suction. The advantage of this is that the pump is easier to re-prime after you clean out the lint trap.

Yes they do. Go to where ever your water valve goes from your house. There should be a valve on the water pump. There should be a few different valves and pumps headed toward your pool and it should be one of those. But call a professional if you can't figure it out.

You could maybe call and ask a pool store they can probably tell you. If not just keep looking all over your pool and see if you can find one.

Pools don't usually use check valves, spas do. I suppose you might want to add a couple on a pool if it was indoors but I've never seen them used. They are used in spas because the electronics and pumps are contained in very close proximity to the plumbing.

Check valves can get a little complicated at times. First check your pool owners manual to see if there's a few steps to take in the trouble shooting portion of the book. If that doesn't work it's always best to call a pool agent to see if they can't repair it. It should run on average under 80 dollars.

Yes pool systems do have a check valve. It should be at the side of the poles as well. Try to locate this near your central tank. If it is not there contact the place you purchased the pool from and ask them where it is and why it is not there.
